Hi Phil,

My apologies for leaving you hanging!  Thanks for the welcome.  I am very keen to really get a great food garden going but have had very limited time for it since becoming a member!

I am currently only growing cherry tomato plants and some hybrid capsicum plants, but I am having mixed results with the capsicums - I think to do with where I planted them (in a rush to get them in) and also the caterpillars and possibly other insects are getting to them.

Ideally I would love to grow all the vegies that we eat regularly (many of which are the most chemically sprayed by producers), and I am hopeful that one day it will be abundant enough for me to pass some along to our local community centre or other service for people in need.

Any suggestions you may have - particularly things you have had most success with, and thoughts on planting at this time of year would be most welcome.

Thanks!

Hi Phil,

Sorry, I don't know any bug cures but the pics of your produce is magnificent.

The colours in there speak volumes to me.

My thoughts on the merit of a garden are changing a lot since I have joined this group.

Hi Phil,
Hope I am doing this correctly. I am still learning about my I
I Pad so I do some weird things. What area do you live in? How long have you been part of this wonderful group? It was lovely to talk to you on Sunday. There is just so much to learn and so much fun trying to be productive in the garden. I am slowly sorting out what is successful and what to forget, I will get there eventually. Thanks for your friend request and I look forward to chatting with you.
Regards Wendy

Your fig tree needs to go into the ground Phil & apparently they do better when you mound up the bed.
