G'day Liz............thankyou for being willing to help me out with your truck to pick up the big sheet of Rio Gauze, but I got it delivered already. The gauze was cheaper than I thought so I was able to afford delivery.

G'day Liz, when I complete my "Training Course" for new gardeners I would like L.F.G. management to assist in editing the course. Since I respect the "chain of command", I would prefer to do things the right way. And also I have not got a clue business wise as to who takes care of that. Because you manage this area is it you that I should talk to?

Yeah the workshop on the 26th will be a more hands on experience. I will be asking participants to collect their recycled objects and then we will be providing assistance on the day to help you turn them into a garden. And I will be giving a demonstration on how to make a vertical garden out of a pallet.

I made some mulberry jam today. There is a house just off the main road of Carole Park which is loaded so I picked them yesterday and boiled up mulberries, honey and chia seeds. Yum

I am not sure how much I can commit to due to limits in time and energy but it is nice to know you and Trinette are nearby.

If we have surplus bananas it will be good to know who we can ask to swap some things with.

I met so many people that day - I think you were the person who took my donation?

PS Acacia Ridge is great isn't it.   I hope to try out a gymnastics class for my son at the local YMCA.  Are you and Lawrie aware (for his young granddaughter) of the excellent free Toy Library at the Acacia Ridge Early Years Centre?

I will try and get there, looking forward to it. I went along to the Rochedale birthday party and was impressed with their garden. Too far for me to get to regularly. I am interested in planting some vegies in raised garden beds in backyard.

I believe it was only going to be 10 - 20 pages per person that offered to print. Not sure of the number of people though. With what you have printed and the 150 pages from me plus what everyone else has done we should have enough. Who knows. We will find out and be more prepared in future. At least any left over can be used elsewhere.

One of the BrisLETS members had lots of chili and was trying to use them - forget which type - not birds eye - she put it in orange marmalade and I am not a chilli person at all and it was very nice - think I still have some in the fridge if you wanted to try it tomorrow - remind me.

Morning Liz, clitoria ternatea or blue butterfly pea is a climbing vine grown mainly as a ornamental. Its flowers are used as a food dye in some Asian cultures. Despite being called a pea, I think it is closer to the bean family, judging by the shape and characteristics of the seed. The other blue pea I know of is the blue pod capucijner. That one looks like a dark purple snow pea. I grew some for the first time last year and they tasted pretty good - whole that is. We didn't get around to shelling any so can't say what the actual peas tasted like. Where you thinking of this particular cultivar?

Thanks for those nice comments but Ill have to really get a few things going as the excess water has really knocked us around -should be able to get a few things going by April though
