G'day Lyn

I've been a member for a while but keep in the back ground however I may come to the Crestmead community garden meet as its near me.

My son has a garden shed & 3 benches he would like to pass on to some body who may like to pay a few dollars for them.

I'm not so good with knowing where or how I could show pics of them. I'll leave my contact details.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Craig Perry

Ur, "Thanks Chris" is graciously accepted. However, I wish to extend a massive heart felt thank you back to you, firstly for creating this amazing group, secondly, for overseeing it's incredible growth and thirdly, for allowing me the opportunity to be a part of it. Ur strength and drive is truly inspirational.

Great work Lyn,

You just reminded me to go pick a large Pepino in my garden. Been feasting on Mulberries for weeks now and the local kids keep the tree clean over the front fence and my chook gets those in reach on the inside of the fence, leaving the high ones for me.

My solar powered electric trike is ready to collect, so should have it on-the-road by Saturday all being well.

Dry as I can remember and the bom news that it may stay dry till late January is a matter of some concern as I have already emptied my tanks and am using lots of town water. Just picked the last of the Thai Guava crop which has been wonderful this year and the Grumichama are starting to flower which should mean a harvest in 6 weeks or so.

Hi Lyn,

Back again-I just had a meeting with the community coordinator and we are going to postpone the grant application until later on as it needs to be finished by 30 sept and doesn't give us enough time to work on getting committee together etc. However, we still need particulars from you about availability and cost for a later date

Also, lyn I am interested in some tomato seedlings as my one tomato plant is rather sad looking at the moment.my number is 32712760

Hi Lyn, just wondering if you would be interested in giving a presentation at Carole Park community house within the next month or so. If so how much would you charge as we are trying to get a grant together to build a community garden.

We are trying to encourage community participation and so would probably include other workshops at a later date so would just like topics similar to the ones you discussed at your open day: wicking, composting, worms

Thanks Lyn, great to meet you too and have a peak at your garden.  Glad to find a good use for that box and rehome some worms. :)

Hi Gill, Thanks for changing these arrangements. Appreciate your help. Will add you to the roster for Sunday arvo. Cheers, Liz

Hi Lyn

Not a problem. Do you still need a small table. This is easier as it will fit in my car and I don't need a trailer or I can get it to Mary beforehand and then Liz can roster me for the afternoon on the Sunday only and I can pack up.

I wondered where we would put a marquee because it is all garden .

cheers

Gill

Liz, I am still a real novice about this. Just experimenting at the moment. It is certainly something I want to find out more about. It really needs following up. Perhaps we could ask Gardening Australia via Jerry Coleby Williams to do a more in depth segment on this. It is something that needs either trials over a long period or someone with the scientific knowledge to advise on. I might write to BOGI asking if anyone has practical experience of using compost/weed/teas.and how it is best to do it in an economical way.
