This email was sent by Sheryl Backhouse to Sub Tropical Fruit Growers today ... I'm sharing it with you.
The Speaker program is now on the website. Print it out and plan your day accordingly. If you missed our visit to Roman & Jana Spur, then you can see Roman there on the weekend. I really think you need 3 days just to do all the talks! Also look out for Annette McFarlane and Peter Young. Graeme White will be talking on bushfood - all excellent speakers. Program looks great as usual so make the most of it.

Tickets: It's best to buy your ticket on line so you don't have to line up at the gates. If you have a concession card, it will show up on the website when you put in the number of tickets required - a saving of $2.00!!

I also note they are selling Triple Treat Tickets - one day each at Qld Garden Expo, Noosa Jazz and Real Food Festival.
You can also join some of the speakers for dinner at the Novotel Twin Waters Resort on Saturday evening 12th July to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Expo - $75.00.

Parking: I couldn't see anything specific on the website. I've found it best to park on the oval on the northern side. If you are travelling north, go past the showgrounds, turn right at the traffic lights into Bli Bli Rd then turn right as directed by the traffic attendant and have your $7.00 ready to pay for parking. UBD Map 56 H13. If you decide to buy your parking ticket on line, there is only a 3 day pass available for $15.00 and you are able to go in through the main entrance off the main road, Coronation Ave.
Checklist: Program, hat, sunglasses, camera, recording device, notebook, water, list of fruit trees you are wanting to acquire and $$$! I always take a trolley - saves going back to the car all the time to drop off.
Florilegium the Garden Bookshop are always there so if there are any garden books you would like to acquire, email Gil Teague and you can pick them up at the Expo and save postage. http://www.florilegium.com.au/
I can also highly recommend Berkelouws Bookshop in Eumundi. New books but also love browsing their 2nd hand section. http://berkelouw.com.au/stores/eumundi
And while you're up that way, you might like to browse Fernlands for horticultural supplies, 31-35 Paulger Flat Road, Yandina. http://fernland.com.au/
Enjoy
Sheryl
