"Warren - if you are interested in identifying your bees, try to get a close up photo and then compare to photos on google, or post to a native bee group on facebook and they will help you identify them. "

Wow, my first native bee hive in a log. A friend from church gave it to me. He noticed it on his acreage property & wanted to save it from an ant invasion. I spent hours using a paint brush to wipe off all the ants from the log until none were…

About Me
I am captivated by permaculture principles. Learning to work with nature instead of seeing it as a threat means I have to re-learn what my previous generation taught me. My philosophy is "as you grow so does your garden". It gives me great joy when I see increase as nature intended.

Thanks Warren.  :-)  I should update those pics as everything has grown SO much in 2 years.  Thank you also for your comments about pigeon pea trees for native bees.......they sound great, but I don't have room for any larger shrubs or the energy to prune them so ground covers are probably best in my situation to attract more native bees.  As for chronic fatigue,  a few years ago I hoped that eating organically would help me recover, but I have overlapping issues and it's all much more complicated than I had hoped - so I can't recommend any particular plants to help with chronic fatigue......but hopefully we will meet up at a garden visit soon and can chat then.  :-)

Hi Warren

I was just thinking about you this morning as I applied Neem oil to my kale plants. They have provided me with lots of fresh kale as the cabbage moth does not like neem. The grasshopper seems to still have a go at the plant though.

How is your garden growing? Are you still enjoying it?

I have a fig tree in a pot will it thrive in the pot or does it need to go in the ground?

I am growing lots of eggplants. One plant has yellow and black eggplants growing simultaneously. I must take a picture and post it.

Bless you and your garden,
