About Me
Gardening has always been a part of my life and both my grandfathers, Dad and all my brothers are or have been avid food gardeners or farmers. One of the most joyful experiences I have had recently is helping to encourage the love of food gardening in the next generation, especially among my great nephews and great nieces. I enjoy learning something new every day about food gardening, especially finding creative ways to use what we produce.

Emma-shae and Ed's experience in their new garden in Eagleby

Emma-shae writes, 'Without LFG our garden would not be the same.

'Our garden gate is always open (figuratively speaking) to those with a passion for gardening and wanting to trade plants or produce and we would like to invite other members along with their friends and family to come and see our garden and have a fun time and swap crops.

'Our story: We moved into our house in September 2013. When we moved in our dog could not go in the back yard as it was so unsafe. We found…

G'day Liz............thankyou for being willing to help me out with your truck to pick up the big sheet of Rio Gauze, but I got it delivered already. The gauze was cheaper than I thought so I was able to afford delivery.

G'day Liz, when I complete my "Training Course" for new gardeners I would like L.F.G. management to assist in editing the course. Since I respect the "chain of command", I would prefer to do things the right way. And also I have not got a clue business wise as to who takes care of that. Because you manage this area is it you that I should talk to?

Hi Liz,

Yeah the workshop on the 26th will be a more hands on experience. I will be asking participants to collect their recycled objects and then we will be providing assistance on the day to help you turn them into a garden. And I will be giving a demonstration on how to make a vertical garden out of a pallet.

Cheers

Shane

Hi Liz,

I made some mulberry jam today. There is a house just off the main road of Carole Park which is loaded so I picked them yesterday and boiled up mulberries, honey and chia seeds. Yum

Yes, thank you, I have joined the book scheme.  Thank you for telling me about it :)

I might check out the other events that are planned.  I wanted to get to the working bee but we had just come back from holidays and couldn't make it.

I like how everyone is a keen (food) gardener.  I have lots to learn!

Thanks and all the best,

;)  Anne
