curry leaf and jujube plants

Posted on January 31, 2012 at 21:07 0 Comments

My curry leaf plant and jujube plant are putting out suckers all over the place. I am about to get rid of the suckers.  Any one interested in these plants before I dig them out. I am in the Spring Mountain part of Greenbank

Hi Kim & Grace, It was lovely to meet you as well as all the other gardeners especially those at the garden visit for the first time. :)

Hi Kim,

Thanks for making me a friend.  Re your post about jujube plants, Dennis and I have been wanting a Jujube tree for years.  If you still have one to spare I would love it.  Does  yours produce nice fruit?  We purchased one a few years back but it was not the jujube I have read about  Was very thorny and the fruit was tiny and tasted terrible.

Regards, Margaret.

Hi Kim,

I am planning to go to the garden visit on the 21st, and would be very happy to take the jicama for Lyn. My mobile number is 0499 475787. I would be very happy to come and pick them up - and take a peak at your garden :-), or if it suits you better to drop them off here, that's fine. Just give me a call and we can make arrangements.

Hi Kim,

I am a newby to this site, but noticed that you are also in Spring Mountain. I would love to meet you at one of the gardening visits. I also love your photo :-)

Wow thank you.  Will you be coming to the next garden visit (venue not confirmed yet) in July?

Hi Kim,

Great, we'll see you Sunday morning. Are you and Grace going to the garden visit?

Hi Kim I worked out what that edible hibiscus is that you gave me.  You said that your pacific island friend called it peele, I think they might be saying "bele".  Otherwise called Ibeka, Tree spinach, aibika or the scientific name is Abelmoschus manihot (formerly a hibiscus).  Check out this link. Tree spinach.  It is mentioned in the Northey St City Farm cook book.

PS my cuttings are growing well.  Only problem is the caterpillars like the taste of it!

Hi Kim,

I am interested in jujube tree.  Do you still have any cuttings available?  I am keen to grow some.

Hi Kim,

I would like to take some cuttings, thanks. When are planning on pruning it? I can bring the mouse melons seeds at the same time if you like.
