Well, today marked the fourth lesson of our eight week course of the Garden 2 Kitchen 2 Garden program. And our students realised the honeymoon is over as we put them to work turning the compost pile. The payoff for this sweat raising activity is that these students will be able to boast that they played a monumental role in establishing our COMMUNITY GARDEN as this compost pile is earmarked to become a central feature of the Garden “THE HERB SPIRAL”.

Hello Georgina, I was smart last night - I covered my little seedlings before I went to bed, but the smart thinking was just a fleeting thing because I forgot to get my box out of the boot on Tuesday, so it came with me to the Pottery Den today. Not to many braincells left in there, I'm afraid. Stay safe, Rosalind.

Hi Georgina, I bought Searles First Prize regular grade potting mix. and seed raising mix.  Should I leave them in shade, partly sun or full sun?

Hi Georgina, Yes I did enjoy the class and look forward to the rest of them. I am making up the poly box as per the notes. Just have to find horse poo now from the side of the road somewhere. any suggestions where? The notes say after putting in the poo to add fertiliser. What should I use?  Im going to put in some seeds. Should I put wet paper over them for a while?
