About Me
love propagating plants, especially hard to propagate species, we propagated most of the plants on our block, re-vamped our vegie plot about 2 yrs ago and slowly filling it with herbs, perenials and seasonal plants, we're on acerage and only have dam water for all our plants, into brewing actively aerated compost teas to increase microbial activity in the soil, do biodynamics as well but not religiously, love finding new types of plants, both edible and ornamental

Norma,

Happy to help out, are you and Ernie planning to bag up any mushroom compost? If so I have a number of suitable bags and can help with filling them. Let me know.

Roger

Hi Norma, I have approx. 8 jars of preserved garden products, medium in size, that is all the space I need. Thanks.

Hi Norma, Thanks for introducing yourself to us today. I've booked for Kim and Grace's garden tour next month. We're really looking forward to our first activity with Logan Food Gardeners. Hope to see you there. Gay and Leo.

I've only transferred hives from water meter boxes, or cloned existing boxes, but I have seen a log transfer at a workshop run by Dr Tim Heard, and it's not too difficult to do, if you carefully split the log lengthwise to expose the hive material.

Not this time, Norma, I have tried scarifying and/or soaking other blue pea seeds. They either didn't germinate or took a long time to. They're not the easiest seeds to germinate. Have you managed to germinate most of yours in the past?

You can plant both now. Mokchoi is a fast growing, harvest once vegie. Takes about 5 weeks from seed to crop. Broccolini will produce plenty of flower shoots until summer, however they don't often last that long in the subtropics. Mine are usually destroyed by army worms around late Oct.
