Enjoy life and good food

Nature gave us many goodies to enjoy and so many good things to make and eat. We should all be super healthy. We just have to make good choices about what we put in our mouth and what we do. Life doesn't always grab you -you have to get up and go for what you are after. learn something new all the time. Laugh more and enjoy your loved ones. Stay positive and use this site and utube etc to discover what wonderful things people are doing and making to ensure life is wonderful.

How do I start a vegetable garden?

Posted on September 25, 2012 at 13:00 1 Comment

I still keep coming across well meaning people who want to grow vegetables but are doing things that make it very hard for them to have decent long term results. While there ARE exceptions to these simple rules -we want to maximise the growth and production of your plants and hard work. This list might be a check for all of us and perhaps you can add some more to this list -or exceptions - or you can disagree -above all have fun!

Hi Dale,

How are you ?

This seems like a nice group.

Hi Dale and Cristine,

Following your Garden Visit, I am interested in your feedback. What aspects would you change or improve? Your honest response will help Trinette and I convene more satisfactory events for everyone (including hosts and visitors) in the future.

I have been feeling great concern for your lawn! I hope it is looking a little better since our departure and the watering Cristine was promising?

I am not sure how to address this type of occurrence in future. If you can suggest solutions, I'm keen to hear them. Did the planks help? Would more planks have been useful? What was the lawn under the length of carpet like after we left?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes, Liz

Hi Dale,

I just checked out your photos ... such vigorous and healthy vegetables and other plants. It will be a great learning experience for me, to visit your garden eventually, tolearn more about your methods and the varieties you grow and why.

Best wishes, Liz Woods

Hi Dale,

I understand you are interested in getting a moringa cutting? Lawrie has a few in the ground for another friend and there would be enough to give you one once their roots are established.

Cheers, Liz

Hi Dale,

Thanks for the offer I will keep it in mind. I have dabbled with growing veg on and off for many years now without a lot of success.

As I say in my user tag the block is a very difficult piece of land to work with but I am going to try again.

With my job on shaky ground thanks to Campbell I am going to try hard to offset some the food costs for my family.
