LFG Event: June 2013 Garden Visit - Lynn's place in Munruben at Munruben

June 16, 2013 from 2pm to 4pm
Some years ago, Lynn's garden included an established fruit and nut orchard. The sudden loss of the land under this productive orchard to the recent broadening of the Mt Lindesay Highway rocked Lynn, who, during the past 12 months, has re-focussed on growing vegetables and fruit for one and maintaining her extensive decorative garden which, thankfully, was not resumed for roadworks. As well as her vegetable garden and younger fruit trees, Lynn's property boasts a small dam which is stocked with…See More

G'day Brandon,.............check out the recent discussion I started. There is a revolution going on in the UN!! My son wants to become an "Agronomist" & now I want to be a part of it as well. I believe the future that pays well is in alternative agriculture, & now there is evidence from the UN that supports it  Merry Christmas & keep your head up ..........you are sitting on a gold-mind my friend . The book of revelations says that in the last days "A piece of bread would buy a bag of gold . In these times your passion for growing crops will give you the status of a King among people & your salary will reflect it I suggest you give yourself to other readings that give you an edge. Go get "em!!

Thanks Brendan!  I am officially assistant gardener to my husband, Christos!  I do a whole lot of weeding!  ..... and do a lot of the kitchen work, taking the harvest and make it into yummy things to eat!  It's a pretty good partnership.

Hi Brandon, thanks for the welcome, I have a small food garden at the moment growing mainly herbs, strawberries, ginger, and turmeric, I am just completing a new vegie garden which I hope should allow me more variety, I also have several young fruit trees, mango, gauva, longan, manderine, peanut butter tree, tropical cherry, and coffee. I liked your photos and will post some from my garden soon, look forward to meeting you and seeing your garden. Steve

Hi Brendon,

Half my yard is a Tropical Rainforest and the bit that's left has more sun, so I have got all my veggies and herbs in that section! I'm Sun-starved! All Organic. Just about to do my first No-Dig.
