Doreen and Jamie purchased a 5 acre property in Jimboomba 3 years ago. They are implementing their permaculture design and aiming to be off grid and more self sufficient.
You will see different perennial growing systems. Water harvesting earthworks, a grey water garden and wicking beds. Hot and cold smokers are on display and a life demonstration of the Smokehouse. A home butchering set up can be viewed as well.
On the property are several European honey bee hives and native bees. Bloomfield's Farm is a Land for Wildlife property and they have planted many native trees and shrubs. You will get a opportunity to taste home made sauerkraut, kimchi and try out different self made products from herbal tea mixes to soaps.
