Garden Visit with
David and Catherine are quite new to veggie gardening and only started their edible garden in spring 2016. Their 2.5 acre property previously housed horses and the ground was very compacted. They have been experimenting with a few different growing methods including wicking beds, layered beds and hugelkultur. They are also trying to improve their ground using mulch and compost so that they can also plant directly into the earth.
There will be a contribution box at the event.
A contribution of between $3 and $5 per person helps Logan Food Gardeners to cover its costs.
Kids and partners are welcome. Children must stay with you or you must be watching them at all times.
