Join us at James’ 4 acres oasis in Forestdale. With 1 acre dedicated to veggies, herb growing as well as the fruit trees, he shares the rest of the area with the steer. The property is all organic with James using cow manure, leaf litter and chicken pellets for fertiliser. There are native bee hives and boxes for habitat for other native animals.
James will give a tour of his garden and has a number of exotic fruit trees for example date palms, wampi, jaboticaba, tamarind, Chinese raisons, natal plums, grapevines. He uses a lot of the fruit to make wine and will be demonstrating how to make fruit wine during his garden visit.
Please bring along:
- a plate of food to share for morning tea
- any excess produce you would like to swap
- a hat if it's fine
- a small folding chair
- a mug and plate
There will be a contribution box at the event and your contribution of between $3 and $5 per person will help Logan Food Gardeners' Inc. to cover its costs.
Kids under supervision and partners are welcome.
Please RSVP to this event to let us know how many of you are coming.
